On September 19, 2009, Phuong Nam Cultural Corporation officially reopens its Phuong Nam Bookstore at the second floor of the Saigon Center locating at 65 Le Loi street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

In 1983, District 11’s Trading and General Service Company (former Phuong Nam Cultural Corporation) opened a series of stores on Ba Thang Hai Street which specialized in cultural products such as books, newspapers, discs, stationery, etc. At that time, in the context of the difficult subsidized economy, although cultural products were necessary, they were rare and unattractive.
